The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is designed to evaluate the English proficiency of individuals whose native language is not English. The TOEFL is most commonly used as an entrance requirement for international students wanting to study for a degree at an American college of university.

The test is currently available ONLY in a computer-adaptive format used to measure the ability to understand North American English. The test consists of three sections; Listening Comprehension, Structure and Written Expression, and Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension. The fee for the TOEFL on computer is $130.
