U.S. News Web Site:
Worksheet for college comparisons, college-planning worksheets, assistance with campus visits, and a very useful financial-aid worksheet, which assists you in comparing financial aid awards from up to four schools.

Major Decisions:
Think that you need to select a major in order to choose a college?  Wrong.   That's a myth.  However, if you'd like to find out what you can do with a variety of majors, the University of North Carolina at Wilmington is helpful. Click on a major and you'll find descriptions of the major's subfields, career paths, related careers, titles of jobs found by graduates in the field, and links to other web sites.

Financial Aid:
A comprehensive site, with useful calculators.  Use the College Cost Projector, the Savings Plan Designer, the Financial Aid Estimation Calculator and the Loan Payment Calculator to arm yourself with needed figures.

The Oregon State Scholarship Commission:
Lists more than 150 private awards and business scholarships and the online application. Loan information and extensive loan counseling are also available.

Future Unclear?:
Although it is unclear who's web site this actually is, and how reliable the information is, the "Beyond High School" section provides valuable links to information about the armed forces, volunteer and internship options, apprenticeship opportunities and vocational schools.

Corporation for National Service:
Information about AmeriCorps, the Civilian Conservation Corps, internships and job opportunities.  Find out how you can earn scholarship money for doing community service.

Student Athletes:
Information about eligibility for student athletes, including those with learning disabilities and those who have been home schooled.
